In 2004, Out To Play Ltd was purchased by new owners who continued to develop the online shop with new features, more exciting brands and the enthusiasm that came with taking over a new venture! The owners made major re-developments to the web site including switching to an os commerce web design (Open Source) which gave greater flexibility for the big changes to come.

In mid 2006, Out To Play Ltd was again sold to the current owners (Fraser & Rosemary Calvert) who established Out To Play (2006) Ltd, continuing the tradition of a family operated online business. The previous owners remain involved in the web store development team to take the business to it's next level along with others to increase the resource base.

Since those early days, Out To Play has gone from strength to strength to command a leading and strong position in the New Zealand online toy market, with over 3500 different products on offer from over 250 major brands. Little Tikes still features strongly, and has been joined by LEGO, Thomas, Meccano, Smoby, Sylvanian Families and many more children's toy products.
